BK3 | Metal Bellows Coupling
Tapered Conical Sleeve Connection
The BK3 coupling is designed with tapered conical sleeves and strong,
captive ISO 4017 draw-off screws.
It offers high clamping forces that provide for brief overloading of 1.5 times the rating indicated (See Table).
There is absolutely no backlash due to the frictional clamp type connection, with a high degree of operating dependability.
These couplings are maintenance-free if the technical ratings are not exceeded.
The bellows are made of highly flexible high-grade
stainless steel.
R+W's BK3 coupling is made to operate at speeds up to 10,000 rpm, in excess of 10,000 available with a finely balanced version.
