BK4 | Metal Bellows Coupling

For Tapered Shafts

The BK4 coupling is designed with tapered conical sleeves and strong, captive ISO 4017 draw-off screws.
It offers high clamping forces that provide for brief overloading of 1.5 times the rating indicated (See Table). This is an absolutely backlash free solution with a high degree of operating dependability. These couplings are maintenance free as long as they are properly mounted and the maximum misalignment values are not exceeded.
The bellows are made of highly flexible high-grade
 stainless steel. R+W's BK4 coupling is made to operate at speeds up to 10,000 rpm, in excess of 10,000 available with a finely balanced version. It is well suited for applications where space is restricted.
