BK7 | Metal Bellows Coupling
Expanding Shaft
The BK7 is designed with one side having a single radial clamping screw (ISO 4762) and the other side an expanding shaft with a tapered clamping element.
The frictional clamp connection provides for an easily mounted, completely backlash free solution. These couplings have an infinite life and are maintenance-free if the technical ratings are not exceeded.
Brief overloads of up to 1.5 times the value specified are acceptable with this coupling.
Bellows are made of highly flexible high-grade
stainless steel, see table for hub material. The Expanding Hub and cone are made of steel.
BK7 couplings are rated for speeds up to 10,000 RPM and higher speed versions (Finely Balanced) are available.
Custom designs with varied tolerances, key-ways, non-standard material,
bellows and ATEX designs are also available upon request.
The compact design conserves space while saving cost.
