The ES2 is a torque limiting coupling designed so that two coupling hubs are concentrically machined with curved jaws, one side with an integral torque limiter.

The torque limiter is available in single position, multi position, load holding or full-disengagement versions. An actuation ring that moves upon disengagement can be used to trigger an external sensor. The actuation ring has a one to three millisecond response time which is is generally faster than electronic solutions.
It provides absolutely backlash free operation and an electrically isolated unit. The clamping hub (D1) up to series 450 is made from high strength aluminum, series 800 and up are steel
 and the clamping hub (D2) up to series 60 is made from high strength
 aluminum, from series 150 and up are steel
Made from high strength, hardened steel with rust protected surface (oxidized), the torque limiting portion delivers precise, reliable overload protection.
The (Press-Fit) elastomer insert is constructed with precision molded, wear resistant, and thermally stable polymer. This coupling will deliver a long, maintenance free service life while operated within the technical specifications.
It has a short, compact design that makes for easy assembly where space is limited.
