MK3 | Miniature Coupling
With Expanding Shaft
The MK3 is designed so that one side has a single radial clamping screw (ISO 4762) and the other side has an expanding shaft with a tapered clamping element.
It has an operating temperature range of -30 degrees to 110 °C (-22 to 230 °F) and a standard speed rating of 10,000 RPM. Speeds in excess of 10,000 RPM are available with a specially balanced version.
This is a backlash free, torsionally rigid solution that is easily mounted with 3-axis of misalignment compensation. The cost effective, compact design provides for low moment of inertia and is well suited for applications that are space restrictive.
These couplings have an infinite life, and are maintenance-free if the technical ratings are not exceeded.
The bellows are made of highly flexible high-grade stainless steel and the clamping hub is aluminum. The expanding hub and cone are steel.
