MK6 | Miniature Coupling
With Clamping Hub And Expanding Shaft
The MK6 is designed so that one side has an expanding shaft with tapered clamping element and the other side has a clamping hub.
The Press-Fit connection is a backlash-free, no wear, blind mate made from glass-fiber reinforced plastic.
It has an operating temperature range of -30 degrees to 110 °C (-22 to 230 °F) and a standard speed rating of 10,000 RPM. Speeds in excess of 10,000 RPM are available with a specially balanced version.
This is a self-adjusting, torsionally rigid, electrically insulated solution. It is easily mounted and compensates for 3-axis of misalignment. These couplings have an infinite life and are maintenance-free if the technical ratings are not exceeded.
The bellows are made of highly flexible high-grade stainless steel while the clamping hub is aluminum and the expanding hub and cone are made of steel.
