With Key-Way Connection

The SKP is a backlash free, torque limiting coupling with a pure key-Way connection.
It is maintenance free when operated within the technical specifications and has a rated operating temperature range of -30 to 120 °C (-22 to 248 °F).
Made of high strength, hardened steel, it offers a long service life. The simple, compact design is torsionally rigid and self adjusting with low moment inertia.
Disengagement detection is achieved through high indexing ring movement. There is very little residual friction following disengagement.
Once the torque limit it met, the SKP disengages within one to three milliseconds. This is generally much faster than electronic solutions that typically have reaction times between fifteen and seventeen milliseconds.
Faster response times translate to less wear and tear on drive and driven components, which saves on downtime and expenses.
